Prices since July 1, 2026: what existing customers face at renewal
E3 now costs $39, E5 $60, Business Standard $14. Anyone still on the old price pays more from the next renewal – here is how to calculate it.
Since July 1, 2026, new Microsoft 365 list prices apply (US, per user per month, annual commitment; with Teams / without Teams): Microsoft 365 E3 $39 / $30.45 (previously $36), E5 $60 / $51.45 (previously $57), Office 365 E3 $26, Business Basic $7, Business Standard $14 (previously $12.50); Business Premium stays at $22. Standalone services also went up, e.g. Entra ID P1 ($7) and P2 ($10).
New purchases pay the new price immediately. Existing customers pay it from their first renewal after July 1 – within a running one- or three-year term the price stays fixed. The "lock-in" window, in which an early renewal secured the old price, is over.
At the same time Microsoft expanded the suites: since summer 2026, E3 includes Defender for Office 365 Plan 1, Intune Plan 2, Remote Help, and Advanced Analytics; E5 additionally Security Copilot, Endpoint Privilege Management, and Cloud PKI. If you currently pay for these separately or through third parties, renewal is the moment to remove duplicate costs.
Example: 80 users on E3 pay $3 more per user per month after renewal – $2,880 per year. Before your renewal date, check that every license is in use; the count can only be reduced at renewal or within the first seven days afterwards.
Local prices (EUR, CHF) and CSP terms differ from the US list and are adjusted annually on January 1.
