Teams included again: since November 2025 you have the choice

Microsoft sells the enterprise suites with Teams again – alongside the versions without Teams. How to compare correctly.

Background: since October 2023 (EEA and Switzerland) and April 2024 (worldwide), new enterprise customers could only buy Microsoft 365 and Office 365 without Teams and had to add Teams as "Microsoft Teams Enterprise". Since November 1, 2025 – following Microsoft's commitments to the European Commission – the enterprise suites with Teams are available again worldwide, alongside the "(no Teams)" versions. Business and frontline plans were always available in both versions.

Prices since July 1, 2026 (US list, per user per month, with Teams / without Teams): Microsoft 365 E3 $39 / $30.45, E5 $60 / $51.45, Business Standard $14 / $10.79, Business Premium $22 / $18.79.

How to compare correctly: suite with Teams versus suite without Teams plus Teams Enterprise – never a suite with Teams against one without Teams and no surcharge. If you don't use Teams because another collaboration platform is in place, the "(no Teams)" version saves money.

Important for telephony: Teams Phone, Calling Plans, Teams Rooms, and Teams Premium require a Teams license. You can see which version you have in the admin center by the product name – it then contains "(no Teams)".
